Water Testing
ENSURE YOUR POOL WATER IS CORRECTLY AND REGULARLY TESTED
For a safe and sparkling clean pool, it is important to test the pool water regularly. There are many DIY testing kits on the market, such as test strips and liquid test kits. However, even if you do check the water regularly, R’n’R Pool Shop recommend bringing in a sample from your pool to have free tested in store at least once a month. Professional pool water testing ensures that all chemical levels are correct and that there are no bacteria, so your pool is safe to use.
HOW TO TAKE A POOL WATER SAMPLE:
- Ensure you’re using a clean container to prevent contaminants
- Choose a place as close to the middle of the pool as possible
- Avoid taking sample close to filters and pumps, where the concentration of debris & chemicals might be higher
- Turn the container upside down
- Dip the container as deep as you can (arm length is usually sufficient)
- Turn the container upside down & let it fill it with water as you bring it up to the surface
- Securely close the container with a clean lid
